Decide who can use what
Each person on your staff gets a role in each app: Viewer, Manager or Admin, or nothing at all. Someone who looks after volunteer screening can run Shield without touching your website embeds in Sync. Change a role and it saves at once; each app picks it up within a minute.
Viewer
Sees the figures. In Tend, a count of 1 to 4 people reads “fewer than 5”, and there is no Refresh button.
Manager
In Shield, can refresh and open Settings to choose the teams that count. In Tend, sees the names behind a figure.
Admin
In Shield, also sees Access, the sync account and the screening policy. In Tend, writes your church’s own rules.

Who can set up our church in the Hub?
Setting up a church needs an Organization Administrator in Planning Center. Once the church is set up, they can give anyone on staff a role in each app.
Do our staff need another password?
No. Everyone signs in with the Planning Center account they already have, and it opens every app. We never see your Planning Center password.
How do roles work?
Each person gets a role in each app: Viewer, Manager or Admin, or no access to that app at all. Change a role and it saves at once; each app picks it up within a minute.
Which apps does the Hub open?
Sync, which puts your Planning Center data on your own website, and Shield and Tend, which are in early access with a few Planning Center churches for now.
