wtxLabs Watch
Ongoing support and care, on retainer
Website care plans
Uptime monitoring, security patching, and backups — so nothing breaks while you're not looking. Keep your site secure, updated, and running, and spend your attention on the business instead.
// why it matters
Nothing breaks on the day you launch
It breaks fourteen months later, on a Saturday, because a plugin that stopped being maintained finally met a version of PHP it could not survive. Or it does not break at all — it just quietly gets slower, and further out of date, until updating it is a project instead of a patch.
The failure mode is almost never dramatic. It is deferral. Every individual update is easy to skip, and skipping is free right up until the moment it isn't. A site that has gone unattended for a year does not need maintenance anymore; it needs a rebuild, and that costs more than the year of care did.
A retainer is not insurance against disaster. It is what keeps the small stuff small.
// what it covers
What wtxLabs Watch does between emergencies
Most of the value is invisible. These four things run continuously, whether or not anything is wrong — which is the point.
Watching
Uptime checks around the clock. If the site stops answering, we find out from a monitor, not from your customer.
Patching
Security updates applied on a schedule, not when a scan finally flags them. Most breaches exploit a fix that already existed.
Updating
Platform, plugin, and dependency versions kept current and tested, so upgrades stay small instead of turning into a rebuild.
Backing up
Automated backups that we actually verify. An untested backup is a guess, and you find out which it was at the worst moment.
And when something does need a human: you email a person who already knows your site, not a ticket queue that asks you to describe your problem to someone seeing it for the first time.
Three levels of care
Each tier describes what's covered. Pricing is scoped per site — a brochure site and a membership platform need very different amounts of attention, and charging both the same would mean overcharging one of them.

Two levels of support
Support is separate from the plan itself, so you can pick how fast you need us without changing what we maintain.
A site that is down is urgent on every plan, at either support level. We don't make you wait in a queue because you're on the smaller plan or didn't buy the add-on — monitoring usually alerts us before you've noticed, and we start working on it then. The levels below govern everything that isn't an outage.
Standard Support
Included in every plan
Replies within a couple of business days
- Email support for questions and requests
- Non-urgent work handled in order received
- Monthly status reporting
Premium Support
Included with Premium · add-on for Basic and Standard
Prioritized — usually same day
- Your request jumps ahead of routine work
- Direct phone line for anything time-sensitive
- First in line when several things land at once
Premium Support can be added to any plan — you don't have to move up to the Premium tier to get a faster response. If your site is the thing your business runs on, it's usually worth it; if it's a brochure site, it usually isn't, and we'll say so.
Specific response windows, business hours, and holiday coverage are set out in your service agreement — that way you get real commitments with the details scoped, rather than a number on a web page.
